We had fantastic experience staying here. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and well maintained. When we arrived we were greeted by a very helpful and knowledgeable member of staff at reception who pointed out good walking trails and some suggestions for where we might like to eat. We stayed in the Captain's Cottage (one of several chalet-like options at the property) and were welcomed with a selection of treats, including some adorable local chocolates. Breakfast was delicious and served in a well presented room with fascinating local details. Altogether, a really well-run hotel with great attention to detail. We'd definitely stay here again when next in the area.

We spent one night at Captain’s at the Bay but would have happily stayed longer. We stayed in the Cottage. It was large with a luxurious, spa like feel. The furniture was comfortable and lovely. Good toiletries, excellent bed, and delicious full service, hot breakfast with non stop coffee. Recommend!!

Stopped for 2 nights on a Great Ocean Road trip. Location is spot on a short walk to everything in town, bars, restaurants and shops. The hosts were very helpful and provided a map and useful information on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony, breakfast was|Excellent. A 10/10 stopover.

Friendly service, it was no problem at all that we arrived after desk hours. Breakfast was very good. Very comfortable and spacious room with luxurious feeling. Stable wifi connection. Designated parking on the premises. There was no elevator, but other than that no real minus points.
